When are the ad space and materials deadlines?
There are several opportunities for you to get your product and message in the hands of conference attendees.
Who do I contact about placing an ad in the Future Play Proceedings?
Proceedings are distributed online and via DVD to approximately 500 of North America’s leading computer games researchers, academics, designers and developers. Embedded advertising is available.
Hotel Reservations
How do I make hotel reservations?
You must contact the Hotels directly for your reservations. Refer to travel page.
How can I register for Future Play?
You can register for FuturePlay online at futureplay.org. Online registrations through PAYPAL only - no cheques or money orders please.
How will I be notified that my registration is confirmed?
When you register online, you will receive a confirmation of transaction from PAYPAL.
Can I register at the conference?
Onsite registration MAY be available. However, space is limited and walk-ins cannot be guaranteed. To be sure, register on-line as soon as you can.
When do I receive my admittance badge?
All badges will be distributed along with your Future Play package at the on-site registration areas. In order to be admitted to events at Future Play, you must be wearing your admittance badge.
How does the press register?
For press registration, please contact futureplayATalgomauDOTca or talk to Deborah Loosemore at (705)949-2301 ext. 4115. All media representatives are subject to approval by the Future Play committee. Free admittance to the FuturePlay conference will be given to all accredited media representatives.

Loading... is an open access journal that attempts to provide a mixed-methods approach to the study of digital games, and therefore invites not only traditional academic papers, but may reprint 'classic' works in the field, as well as provide a forum for machinima, new and open-source innovative code, product reviews, blogs, program descriptions and course outlines for games studies and 'conversations' within and across the trajectories of inquiry and activity that constitute Canadian Games Studies now and into the future.
